I have a Kohler Command Pro 25 HP twin, Family 4KHXS, 7252GC Mod # CV730S....I just finished installing new blades, filters, spark plugs and deck wheels-plus complete grease & oil change.

Prior to this maintenance the engine was starting to exhaust white smoke excessively.  The tractor/engine has had loving care since new.  At 640 hours I would like to save the engine.  What would be the probable cause for the white smoke and oil consumption?  I do not want to start throwing parts at it.  I am suspisious of blown head gaskets....anyway to test???  Your thoughts???  Thanks in Advance!!

I have a Kohler command pro 13 on a log splitter. It sat unused for about 14 months. Ran great when I parked it.. went to fire it up the other day and nothing. Turn the key and it does nothing. It's like there's no battery connected kind of nothing. Brand new battery, starter, coil, solenoid and ignition all new... Still it does nothing. Any ideas?
